Atlantic Hotel Riccione:
Presentation of the hotel.
The
Atlantic Hotel opened in
Riccione in 1959 and right
from the start offered a
demanding international
clientele the ideal
destination for top grade
vacations: thanks to its
modern functional structure
and the high quality of the
service provided, the
Atlantic soon became a
symbol of Riccione’s
hospitality in the sixties.
Up until the mid eighties,
the Atlantic was the
favourite destination for
vacations during the good
season: in fact, until that
period, Riccione was still a
tourist location whose
activity was mainly limited
to the “summer season”.
In 1988, it was precisely
the Atlantic that launched a
new Riccione tourism trend,
becoming the only hotel open
all year, able to constantly
offer high quality
hospitality.
Thanks to the drive and
energy of the owner, Anna
Maria Assirelli Ricci, an
in-depth rebuild was carried
out between 1989 and 1990,
which led to the hotel being
reborn from all points of
view.
The building’s exterior,
designed by architect
Arnaldo Tausani, is that
seen to this day: from the
heart of Riccione, the
luminous Mediterranean style
building looks directly on
to the sea, has a luxuriant
first-floor roof garden and
vases of cascading geraniums
decorating every balcony of
the hotel.
The hotel’s interiors were
also upgraded by Tausani’s
stylish work: rooms, junior
suites, foyer and restaurant.
A key role is played by the
blue of Vietri ceramics, the
intense white and the light
of the mirrors, which
reflect the clear blue of
the sea.
As can be seen, the
Atlantic’s world is
constantly changing, to
ensure the best style of
hospitality.
This is why the very recent
re-build of the rooms and
suites led to further
improvement of the interiors:
as of 2008, all the
Atlantic’s rooms are
completely renewed, fitted
out with the very latest
comforts and services,
perfectly in line with the
image of Mediterranean
hotels.
A great innovation, which
involves the urban context
that hosts the Atlantic, is
the large-scale renovation
of the promenade (Lungomare
della Libertà), which an
ambitious project (for which
we are the main promoters)
has transformed into a
wonderful pedestrian zone
running alongside the beach,
dotted with large fountains,
flowerbeds and piazzas
embellished with landscaped
areas.
This innovative street
furniture and layout hides
the hotel’s new garages,
built to ensure a reserved
parking space for every room
of the hotel.
The great new features that
highlight the venue’s
on-going improvement are the
most obvious proof of the
desire to provide an
increasingly refined style
of hospitality.
At the same time, the
constancy of the hotel’s
management, the
professionalism of the staff
and the quality of the
service offered are the
guarantee of a continuity
that is hard to find
elsewhere nowadays.
